Thule Lagoon Art Camps and Bush Camps

Thule Lagoon Art Camps and Bush Camps offer immersive creative experiences designed for artists of all levels, with small groups of four or fewer ensuring personalised attention and meaningful artistic growth. Led by artist Wendy McDonald, each camp blends hands‑on tuition with deep connection to landscape, allowing participants to explore their own artistic voice through mark making, colour and intuitive process‑driven practice.

The main studio is located at Thule, near Barham in southwest NSW, close to the Murray River. Off‑grid Bush Camps take place in two extraordinary natural environments: Hattah‑Kulkyne National Park in northwest Victoria and Lake Mungo National Park, part of the Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area. These multi‑day immersions allow artists to develop a true sense of place, capturing emotional and intellectual responses to ancient landscapes.

Bookings include all accommodation, tuition, field trips and meals, creating a seamless and nurturing environment for creativity. Daily 'mini classes' offer focused exploration of key artistic elements such as mark making, colour, composition and personal expression.
