Brought to life by Sandstorm Events, Australia’s leading creators of large-scale sand sculptures, this enchanting trail features eight intricately carved installations that reimagine Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale through towering sculptures of sand. This immersive adventure invites visitors of all ages to wander alongside Alice as she tumbles into a magical new world — right here along the Murray River.

Follow Alice Through Echuca Moama

The trail spans both sides of the river, taking you on a whimsical journey through key art locations:

• Begin at the River Boat Dock, where Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole.
• Explore the Port of Echuca, transformed into a wonderland of sculpted scenes.
• Wander through Aquatic Reserve, discovering fantastical characters hidden among the trees.
• Cross the bridge to Moama, where the grand finale awaits at the Moama Soundshell.

Each installation brings a chapter of Alice’s story to life with extraordinary detail, from expressive characters to sculpted textures that look impossibly real.

Meet the Characters of Wonderland — In Sand

Visitors can expect to meet all their favourite Wonderland personalities along the way, including:

• The White Rabbit
• The mysterious Caterpillar
• The mischievous Cheshire Cat
• Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum
• The Queen of Hearts and her card soldiers
• And of course — Alice herself

The journey concludes with a spectacular Tea Party scene at the Moama Soundshell — a perfect finale for photos, picnics, and memories.

Each sculpture stands 2 to 3 metres tall and weighs 16 to 20 tonnes, creating an awe-inspiring outdoor gallery that transforms Echuca Moama into a true Wonderland.
